A day in the life

Arrive early and create sensory magic with lights, props, textures and fresh, clean mats.

Lead the fun

Welcome parents and babies, lead singing and movement, and explain key developmental milestones.

Connect & wrap up

Chat with mums and dads, pack down the equipment and leave the hall sparkling.

Practical details

The role at a glance

Clear, flexible and fully supported from your first training session to your first class.

LocationsOxford, Reading, High Wycombe and surrounding areas
Working patternPart time availability across 2 to 3 days each week
Usual class times10am to 11am, 11.30am to 12.30pm and 1pm to 2pm, depending on the area and venue
PayYou will be paid £16 per hour from the time you arrive at the venue until you leave, including setting up before classes and packing away afterwards. You will also be paid for two additional hours each week to learn the lesson plans and organise the equipment. Once you regularly have 45 or more babies attending across the three classes on your teaching day, your hourly rate will increase to £20.
TransportAccess to a large car is essential for transporting class equipment
TrainingContribute £250 towards training, repaid in full after successfully running classes for six months
DBSEnhanced DBS fully arranged and supported

A path that could grow with you

When the time is right, and if it feels like a good fit for everyone, there may be an opportunity to take over classes and run your own Baby Sensory business. It is a future possibility, not a guaranteed part of the role.
